JUNE PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

by Alex Bernard, AIA, CSI, LEED GA, CDT

President, CSI Houston Chapter

Dear fellow CSI Houston Chapter Members,

It’s been a privilege to serve the Houston Chapter for the past year and I hope to have inspired you and others to lead and be involved in this great organization.

It has been a great personal experience and the success can only be attributed to the selfless support of the entire board and committee members. Thank you! The most important support however comes from you. As a member you recognize the value of the exchange of knowledge through the great networking opportunities and education whereby contributing to CSI’s core goal building knowledge and improving project delivery. I would like to encourage everyone to promote CSI Houston and to invite a guest.

I wish our new incoming president, Bill Fairbanks, and the new Board the best of luck for the new Chapter year. I will continue to serve the board and the Chapter and I am excited to be the new VP of Public Services.

Our annual golf tournament benefitting the CSI Houston Foundation will be held on Friday, October 13 at Tour 18.

Lastly, please join us on June 26, 2017 at our annual awards banquet where we recognize distinguished members for their achievements and selfless contributions to the CSI Houston Chapter. Highlighting the evening’s ceremony will be the presentation of the craftsmanship award to Matthew Henson II with Matt Henson Productions for the Texas A&M Williams Building historic plaster restoration project.
