HOUSTON, TX (June 20, 2018) –The Houston CSI Foundation recently awarded grants to 3 young professionals attending the 2018 CONSTRUCT, the CSI National Convention, in Long Beach, CA. The convention includes an extra day dedicated to young professionals and their special interests.
The grants were awarded to: Ms London Ueal, Specification Consultant with Allegion; Ms Shelby Fisher, Studio Assistant at Perkins + Will; and Mr. Charles Williams, Intern Architect with Merriman Holt Powell Architects.
Built on a foundation of giving back, the Construction Specifications Institute is an active community advocate supporting education and participating in multiple philanthropy-driven events throughout each calendar year. Through their foundation, the professionals’ group advances industry specific education and training. This marks the 44th year that CSI has supported this endeavor.
“CSI is steadfast in our commitment to supporting the communities in which we live in work and most importantly to invest in the education of the future leaders in Houston’s A/E/C industry,” states Bill Fairbanks, CSI Houston’s President. “It is a testament to the foundation that CSI is built on and I am extremely proud to be a part of this organization.”
The Houston CSI Foundation celebrates the opportunity to assist young professionals and looks forward to promoting other educational and mentoring opportunities. For more information or to get involved, visit www.csihouston.org.
